Welcome to Newscuddle.
By registering as a writer, submitting or publishing content, or using any writer or creator tools provided by Newscuddle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Writer Terms & Conditions.
These Terms govern participation in the Newscuddle Writer Program, including content publishing, monetization, revenue sharing, payouts, account conduct and the use of writer-generated content on the Newscuddle platform.
1. Writer Revenue-Sharing Model
Newscuddle may generate advertising revenue through digital advertising networks, which may include advertising models such as:
- CPM (Cost Per 1,000 Impressions)
- CPC (Cost Per Click)
- Other advertising or monetization models made available by Newscuddle or its advertising partners.
Subject to applicable advertising revenue, eligibility requirements, deductions, adjustments and verification, Newscuddle’s current writer revenue-sharing structure is:
80% to eligible writers
20% to Newscuddle
This is Newscuddle’s internal revenue-sharing arrangement and does not represent Google’s AdSense revenue-sharing percentage or any other advertising network’s contractual revenue split.
Writer earnings are not guaranteed and may vary depending on advertising demand, traffic quality, visitor location, advertiser availability, seasonality, platform performance and other factors.
2. Monetizable Page Views
Newscuddle uses the term Monetizable Page Views to describe page views that qualify for Newscuddle’s internal writer-revenue calculations.
A page view may not generate advertising revenue where an advertisement is not successfully served, displayed or otherwise eligible for monetization.
Traffic affected by ad-blocking technology, unavailable advertising inventory, technical limitations, invalid traffic, advertising restrictions or other circumstances may not generate advertising revenue.
Examples of technologies that may prevent advertisements from being displayed include, but are not limited to:
- Brave Browser ad blocking
- Opera Mini with ad blocking enabled
- AdBlock Plus
- uBlock Origin
- Other browser, device, extension or software-based ad-blocking technologies.
Newscuddle does not guarantee that every page view will result in a monetizable advertising impression.
3. 30,000-View Eligibility Requirement
The Newscuddle Writer Program may require a writer to reach at least 30,000 total eligible monetizable page views before becoming eligible for a payout.
The 30,000-page-view requirement is an internal Newscuddle eligibility requirement and is separate from the policies, reporting systems, calculations and payment requirements of Google or any other advertising provider.
Newscuddle may exclude traffic that is determined to be invalid, fraudulent, artificially generated, non-monetizable or otherwise unsuitable for advertising revenue calculations.
4. Illustrative Earnings Example
Writer earnings may be calculated from advertising revenue attributable to eligible monetizable traffic.
For illustration only:
Example Average RPM: $10.00
If Newscuddle receives $10.00 in applicable advertising revenue and the writer is eligible for the current 80% revenue share:
Writer share: $8.00
Newscuddle share: $2.00
This example is provided for explanation only.
It is not a guaranteed RPM, income level, advertising rate or minimum earning.
Actual earnings may differ substantially depending on traffic quality, advertiser demand, geography, ad availability, seasonality, invalid-traffic adjustments and other factors.
5. Advertising Revenue Adjustments
Advertising revenue may fluctuate or be adjusted because of factors including:
- Changes in advertising markets
- Changes in advertiser demand
- Currency exchange-rate movements
- Advertising network policies
- Invalid or suspicious traffic
- Technical errors
- Refunds or advertiser adjustments
- Platform or operational requirements
- Changes to advertising inventory or availability.
Newscuddle reserves the right to modify, suspend or update its internal writer-revenue-sharing structure, payout requirements or monetization rules.
Where reasonably practicable, Newscuddle will provide advance notice of significant structural changes.
6. Analytics, Earnings and Final Calculations
Newscuddle may use its internal systems, advertising platforms and other approved measurement tools to calculate writer traffic, earnings and related metrics.
The Newscuddle Creator Dashboard may display estimated or calculated information regarding:
- Page views
- Followers
- Earnings
- Monetizable traffic
- Other creator metrics.
Dashboard figures may be subject to verification, corrections, adjustments or finalization.
Where there is a discrepancy between third-party analytics and Newscuddle’s verified monetization records, Newscuddle may rely on its internal records and applicable advertising-platform data when determining eligibility and writer payments.
External analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Bitly statistics and personal analytics systems, do not automatically establish entitlement to payment.
Advertising providers may independently determine valid and invalid traffic and may adjust reported or finalized revenue.
7. Content Ownership and License
Writers retain copyright ownership of original content they create and submit to Newscuddle, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
By submitting or publishing content on Newscuddle, the writer grants Newscuddle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the content for purposes connected with operating, developing and promoting the Newscuddle platform.
This license may include the right to:
- Host the content
- Display the content
- Edit or format the content
- Translate the content
- Reproduce the content
- Republish the content on Newscuddle-owned platforms
- Promote the content
- Distribute the content
- Monetize the content through permitted advertising or other Newscuddle monetization methods.
The writer represents that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content to Newscuddle.
8. Originality, Accuracy and Content Standards
Writers are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with Newscuddle’s editorial and platform standards.
Writers must:
- Publish original or properly licensed content
- Verify factual claims before publication
- Avoid knowingly false or misleading information
- Correct significant errors when identified
- Respect copyright and intellectual-property rights
- Properly attribute sources where appropriate
- Avoid plagiarism
- Avoid fabricated quotations, events or sources
- Avoid deceptive or misleading headlines
- Comply with applicable laws and Newscuddle policies.
Writers must not simply copy, scrape, mirror or lightly modify articles from other websites and submit them as original work.
Content derived from external sources should provide meaningful original reporting, analysis, commentary, curation or other value where appropriate.
Newscuddle may reject or remove content that does not provide sufficient original or useful value.
Google’s publisher policies prohibit Google-served ads on screens containing copied or replicated content without additional commentary, curation or other meaningful value.
9. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Content
Writers may use artificial-intelligence tools as part of their writing or research process where permitted by Newscuddle.
However, writers remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, legality and quality of their submissions.
Writers must not use AI or automated systems to:
- Mass-produce low-value content for advertising purposes
- Generate spam
- Fabricate information or sources
- Copy or lightly transform another publisher’s content
- Create misleading or deceptive articles
- Circumvent Newscuddle’s moderation systems
- Generate content that violates Newscuddle or applicable advertising policies.
Newscuddle may require human review, editing, fact-checking or additional information before publishing AI-assisted material.
Google’s publisher guidance specifically identifies automatically generated content without appropriate manual review or added value as potentially unacceptable replicated content.
10. Advertising and Invalid Traffic
Writers must not attempt to artificially increase advertising impressions, clicks or earnings.
Writers must never:
- Click their own advertisements
- Ask friends, followers or readers to click advertisements
- Offer rewards for ad clicks
- Encourage users to repeatedly refresh pages to increase advertising impressions
- Use bots or automated systems to generate traffic
- Purchase or use unreliable traffic sources designed to generate advertising activity
- Use deceptive methods to generate advertising impressions or clicks
- Participate in click-exchange schemes
- Manipulate advertising systems or traffic measurements.
Google defines invalid traffic to include artificial clicks or impressions, automated traffic and encouraging users to click ads.
Because Newscuddle may be responsible for advertising activity occurring on writer-generated pages, violations may result in removal of monetization, suspension or termination of a writer account.
11. No Income Guarantee
Participation in the Newscuddle Writer Program does not guarantee:
- A minimum income
- A fixed salary
- A particular RPM
- A specific number of advertisements
- A specific number of page views
- A particular amount of traffic
- A particular monthly payment.
Advertising revenue can fluctuate significantly.
A writer’s earnings may increase, decrease or become unavailable depending on traffic, advertising demand, policy compliance and other factors.
12. Payout Requirements
Subject to the applicable Newscuddle Writer Program rules, a writer must satisfy all applicable requirements before becoming eligible for payment.
The current minimum requirements are:
- Minimum balance: $15 USD
- Minimum followers: 1,000
- Minimum total eligible monetizable page views: 30,000
These requirements are Newscuddle’s internal payout eligibility requirements.
Payments may be processed on a Net-30 basis, subject to verification, applicable advertising revenue finalization and payment-processing requirements.
Depending on availability and writer eligibility, payment methods may include:
- PayPal
- Stripe
- Direct bank transfer
- Other payment methods introduced by Newscuddle.
Payment timing may be affected by banking delays, identity or account verification, payment-provider requirements, advertising-network payment cycles, fraud reviews, disputes or other legitimate administrative reasons.
13. Advertising Revenue Verification and Adjustments
Newscuddle may delay, review, adjust or withhold payment where there are reasonable grounds to investigate:
- Invalid traffic
- Fraudulent activity
- Artificial impressions or clicks
- Copyright violations
- Policy violations
- Duplicate or manipulated traffic
- Technical errors
- Advertising-network adjustments
- Other activities that may affect the validity of reported earnings.
Where an advertising provider reverses, withholds or adjusts revenue associated with a writer’s content or traffic, Newscuddle may make corresponding adjustments to the writer’s earnings.
14. Prohibited Content and Conduct
Writers must not publish or submit content that violates applicable law, Newscuddle policies or applicable advertising policies.
This includes, where applicable:
- Copyright infringement
- Plagiarism
- Fraudulent or deceptive content
- Malicious content
- Illegal content
- Spam
- Artificially generated low-value content
- Fraudulent traffic
- Misleading advertising practices
- Content designed primarily to manipulate advertising systems
- Other content prohibited by applicable Google Publisher Policies or advertising-network requirements.
Newscuddle reserves the right to update its content standards when necessary to comply with applicable law, advertising requirements or platform policies.
Google’s Publisher Policies apply to content appearing on pages where Google ads are displayed, including user-generated content.
15. Content Moderation and Removal
Newscuddle may review, moderate, restrict, edit, reject, unpublish or remove content where necessary to:
- Maintain editorial standards
- Protect users
- Protect the Newscuddle platform
- Comply with applicable law
- Address copyright complaints
- Prevent misinformation or harmful content
- Protect advertising relationships
- Comply with advertising-network requirements
- Address spam, fraud or other policy violations.
Newscuddle may take action before or after publication depending on the circumstances.
Because Newscuddle may display advertisements alongside writer-generated content, Newscuddle reserves the right to restrict advertising or monetization on particular content even where the writer account itself remains active.
16. Account Suspension and Termination
Newscuddle may suspend or permanently terminate a writer account where the writer:
- Repeatedly violates these Terms
- Engages in plagiarism or copyright infringement
- Generates fraudulent traffic
- Manipulates advertising impressions or clicks
- Publishes prohibited or unlawful content
- Attempts to circumvent Newscuddle moderation
- Uses deceptive practices
- Repeatedly submits low-quality or policy-violating content
- Otherwise materially violates Newscuddle policies.
Where appropriate, Newscuddle may remove affected content and restrict or terminate the writer’s access to monetization features.
Any treatment of unpaid earnings following termination will be determined in accordance with these Terms, applicable law and the circumstances of the violation. Revenue associated with confirmed invalid activity or other policy violations may be withheld or adjusted.
17. Tax Responsibility
Writers are responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax, reporting, levy or other governmental obligations applicable to income they receive through Newscuddle.
Newscuddle may provide payment or earnings information where required by applicable law.
18. Advertising Revenue Disclaimer
Advertising revenue depends on factors outside Newscuddle’s complete control, including:
- Advertiser demand
- Available advertising inventory
- Visitor geography
- Traffic quality
- Seasonal advertising demand
- Advertising-network policies
- Technical availability
- Platform performance.
Newscuddle therefore does not guarantee that advertisements will appear on every page or that every page view will generate advertising revenue.
19. Changes to These Terms
Newscuddle may update these Writer Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in its services, business model, legal obligations, advertising requirements or platform policies.
Where appropriate, Newscuddle will provide notice of material changes.
The updated version will be published on the Newscuddle platform with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Continued participation in the Writer Program after the effective date of updated Terms may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
20. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from participation in the Newscuddle Writer Program will be addressed through the dispute-resolution procedures specified by Newscuddle and applicable law.
Where arbitration or another formal dispute-resolution mechanism applies, the applicable procedure, jurisdiction and governing law will be determined in accordance with the legal framework governing Newscuddle’s operations.
21. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a Newscuddle writer account, submitting content, publishing content or using Newscuddle creator tools, the writer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Writer Terms & Conditions.
Failure to comply with these Terms may result in:
- Content rejection or removal
- Loss of monetization privileges
- Payment adjustment or withholding where permitted
- Account suspension
- Permanent account termination.
By participating in the Newscuddle Writer Program, writers acknowledge that advertising revenue is not guaranteed and that compliance with Newscuddle’s policies and applicable advertising requirements is a condition of continued participation.
